1. A benign tumour will not cause you any fatal harm.
良性腫瘤不會對你有致命的傷害。
1. 良性的:守勢現(xiàn)實主義則不認為如此,主張國際政治的結構事實上是良性的(benign),不必然造成沖突,但國家卻認知錯誤,誤以為結構是惡性的,造成許多戰(zhàn)爭的發(fā)生. 所以是國家搞錯了,而不是國際結構本身的問題,國際結構所隱含的侵略誘因其實不多.
2. 良性:癌癥的觀念是要看良性或是惡性,良性(benign)的腫瘤不會轉移,對生命也不會有威脅,惡性腫瘤(malignant)會浸潤.轉移.再發(fā),其對生命是有威脅的,只要是惡性的不管是高分化或低分化,都要很小心,時時要監(jiān)控,

If you describe someone's approach to a problem as one of benign neglect, you disapprove of the fact that they are doing nothing and hoping that the problem will solve itself.
e.g. America and Japan have settled back into a policy of benign neglect of their currencies.
